Woke Up Crampy

I had such strong cramps (menstrual-like ones) that they woke me up. It is like a wave and the pain comes and goes, but I'm not getting the firm "basketball belly" feeling I get with BH nor do I feel it in my lower back like I did a couple days ago. But it is a little intense...

Are these possibly real contractions? Could this be the beginning of labor? Should I be timing it (how)?

I don't want to wake my guy up yet...but, Man, these are a little intense.

My throat's dry. I think I'm going to drink some water, listen to hypnobabies, lie down, and see if things ease up a little or get more intense.

Hi. I'm from the March due date club, but my twins were born early. When my contractions started with my twins, they felt exactly like menstrual cramp, and nothing at all like the BH.

It sounds to me like you may very well be in labor. Mine went to every three minutes almost immediately. Hopefully yours will start out a little more gradually.

Good luck.

Nertz. I think it's a just false alarm, and I was just a bit dehydrated. Things eased up after I drank a couple glasses of water and had a tiny piece of dark chocolate (gave the baby hiccups—LOL).

Aw, well. There are a couple work things I need to get done in the AM, and I was hoping to have time to make some tasty home-made chicken soup tomorrow (for the birthing) so this is okay for now (though anytime she decides to come is going to be wonderful).

My body is definitely gearing, though. Perhaps she'll be here sooner than later.

My stinker of a DH keeps wishing she will be born on the 19th or later (he wants her to be a Pisces instead of an Aquarius) or even to be born on 2-24 (his birthday inverted). I tell him he's a sadistic punk for wishing me to be this pregnant even one more day.

He had the nerve to say, "Oh, don't worry. Every day you are pregnant I'll suffer almost as much as you..."

Oh, yeeeah. Be careful watcha wish for, bc I can make sure you suffer *just as much* as me, Fun Boy. (I'm joking...sort of )

sorry it petered out..but sounds like you have a few things to get done and maybe it will pick back up later.

That's how I've been waking up every morning for the last few days and I don't think I'm dehydrated . . . I've started losing mucous plug in big clumps now. So I definitely think the menstrual-type cramp-contractions are getting some dilation done!

I did the same thing last night... although it was kind of self-inflicted. Decided to try nipple stimulation to see if it really works (I'm not overdue yet, so I'm not desperate at this point) and got some really strong and painful menstrual-like cramps that wrapped around to my lower back. I only got two or three but they lasted a very long time... no hard belly though. They stopped after I stopped the nipple stimulation though...

I think I'll get a Pisces girl, although I'm not against having an Aquarius. I've always liked Aquarius people.

I have been having stronger more consistant BH- I can see my belly get smaller like a basketball, but no sensations that wrap around to my lower back. The tightening is also lower. in my abdomen. I have got 10 days to my Guess date and I am so tired. I really wanted things to happen last night, but no luck.
Cherry- Being an air sign myself, I am a fan of Aquarians so I keep hoping the LO will come before the 20th.
Guess I should really start listening to my birthing day affirmations...maybe that will help.
LionTB- how exciting you are loosing your mp!!

Ah, I feel like the entire DDC has already had their babies... it is difficult being at the end of the month.:yawning:

Drank a bunch of water, but not really thirsty right now.

Still, the contractions have been continuing on and off all day. Nothing regular, though they have been increasing a little into the evening.

I wonder if this is bc I drank RRL tea yesterday. I'd been drinking pregnancy teas that have it mixed in, but yesterday I drank straight RRL instead (2 cups) and took a big walk. I think I'll take another walk tomorrow (if I'm still pregnant—haha).
