Contrax at Night

Anyone getting these? I don't seem to experience them as much during the daytime (even when I'm walking) as when I'm trying to sleep lately. I've heard baby movement can bring things on so I'm thinking it's possible that it's happening bc that is when my LO is most active.

night contractions are often b/c we are dehydrated from our day...and tired.

I often tend to have/ notice more contractions in the evening. Usually if I have overdone it during the day.

Yeah- more in the evening... I was hoping that it was an indicator last night, but not so...

yep. i get them and im only 20 weeks along. my midwife suggested that it could be dehydration. i asked her if it would only happen at night if that were the case and she said it is very typical. so drink up mama!

I think it's pretty normal to only notice them at night because we are trying to rest. You are less focussed on them during the day when you are up and moving around.

I also was thinking at some point today that I heard that most mammals go into labor in night, when it is dark, quiet and safe.

I've had 2 instances when I've woken up around 3 am with contactions. I've also gotten up to go to the bathroom (poop) and lay back down with them. They'll keep me awake for a couple hours, when I'll finally fall back asleep. It's annoying!
