Cami was born on 02/15 at 8:05 am. She was 37 weeks, 5 lbs 4 oz, and 18 inches. A petite little girl - and gorgeous. She's doing great and already nursing like a pro!

Writing an actual birth story is probably going to take a bit longer than I expected. Settling in with a newborn and toddler is a lot of wonderful WORK! I just thought I'd add a quick version for the curious.
Valentines Day was uneventful. We took Joshua to the mall and chased him around for a few hours. When we got home, I cooked dinner. All was well. Then, at around 8 pm I started having mild contractions. They started off at around 5 minutes apart. By 10 they were strong enough to stop me in my tracks and around 4 minutes apart.. but sometimes as close as 2 minutes. At around 12, I called my midwife because they were still coming. After chatting for about 10 minutes she decided that it was time to come on over. She got here around 2 with an assistant and set up shop.
When she checked me, I was still only at 3. She decided to wait around for an hour and see if anything changed, By 4, I was at a 5. After that we stopped checking... my contractions let us know that things were moving along because they were coming long and hard. I waddled around the house and worked through them any way that I could. It was a pretty easy labor, all things considered. I didn't really make any noise until it was time to push!
At 8:05 am Cameron Rose was born. Just a few pushes and not a stitch needed. I was back on my feet within 20 minutes of her birth. I don't even feel like I had a baby! Cami is so sweet and nursing really well.
Oh, and Joshua was home sleeping through the whole thing! He woke up at 9 and got to meet his new baby sister. He loves her!! It's so cute.
I'll post a long version soon, but that's the basics.
