I'm looking for a cute and simple pattern for a baby girl tunic/long sleeve dress size 6-9 mo that can be worn with longies. Something that I could make from recyled clothing would be even better! Any sugestions? Thanks in advance!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but this is a really cute tutorial for a baby/toddler top.

I've made one for my 2 yr old daughter and 6 yr old son, they are really easy to make and turned out cute. The only thing I noticed is the neck turned out a bit gappy, but you could tweak the pattern a bit.
Good luck!

Sorry, forgot to add this one -

Again, not sure if it's what you had in mind but it's very simple to make and I would think you could cut the pieces out of recycled adult clothes.

Carolyn ~ post some pics of your kimonos! I should post one of the Mayfly Smocket I sewed for dd after you psted the link to it a while back. It turned out really well and she has worn it a lot.
Would a bit of elastic run through the neck binding help the gap-iosis at the neck of the kimonos? They are still on my 'to sew' list.
Have a look at these I have lengthened the wrap over top in the 3-6 months size and made a dress from a Medium size Lee Cooper t shirt. I cut the sleeves so as to use the existing cuff and strips of the lower edge to bind the neckline.
It is generous in the body and still fits my petite-ish 2yo at a push if we can't find any pyjamas. Any of these tops could be lengthened either straight down or in an A-line.

What about a pillowcase dress or shirt dress?
The links are just the first ones I found via google, but I've seen a variety of patterns and styles in magazines and websites. In fact, I saw a book the other day that was just things made from pillowcases!
