We just bought a Wii :

What games are fun for adults and kids?

Mario Kart. We all play, even the 3 year old.

My husband is addicted to Animal Crossing, but I find it to be quite boring. Our six-year-old likes playing, though. Our two-year-old just likes waving the wii-mote around.

I like Lego Star Wars a lot, but it is not for kids so much.

Sorry I am not much of a help.

We really like Harvest Moon, Tree of Tranquility. My almost 7 year old loves this one.

We also like Wii Sports too. Wii sports is nice because we call all play together at the same time. We've also played the Cranium one.... I think it's called Kabookie? It's fun but I think it would be hard for younger kids.

That's my favorite.

We just bought a wii, too. I'm also looking for game ideas, so thanks for asking.

So far, we all love wii sports, especially bowling. My arm gets sore the next day, though.

DS1 and DH love the Lego's Star Wars game. I'm going to have to kick them off it in a while so I can watch American Idol.

I really want wii Fit and Mario Kart. Also, Mario Galaxy. Just can't seem to find them locally.

We recently got Outdoor Challenge which is played with a mat, and it's so fun! Our three year old is quite skilled at several of the games, and I've been getting so much exercise because he insists that we take turns!

Super super super fun!

If you want to play together:

Mario Kart
Carnival Games
Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz
Mario Party 8
Guitar Hero World Tour
Rockband 2
Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree

For single play:

Animal Crossing
Zelda
Wii Fit

All the games I have listed are enjoyed by all ages of our family.

I'd definitely go with Mario Kart or Rock Band for the whole fam. LOVE those games I'm a fan of Super Smash Brothers, though I don't think that would be the best suggestion for kids....

Thanks for the suggestions. We are all loving the Wii Sports, especially golf and baseball.

We have a Star Wars game, Spooky Manor, Mario Galaxy, wii sports, wii play, and Harvest Moon. Unfortunately even if you marry the doctor in harvest moon, you still can't have a homebirth.. and they also don't allow you to change the baby's diaper, and when they learn to walk, you find them wandering around the river by themselves regularly.. yep, someone should be arrested for that.

I just married Owen and we haven't gotten around to the baby part yet. It's too bad that you can't have a home birth. Is there a midwife in this one?
This darn game is one of my guilty pleasures after the kids go to bed. LOL.

My dd is having a hard time picking out which person she wants to marry. She told me today that she's going to see if she can have two husbands and it should be fine because she'll just grow more food so that they'll have plenty to eat.

Wii Sports is a favorite. I also love the Wii Fit.

We just got back from poker night at a friend's house. They asked us to bring the Wii for everyone else and it was a huge hit! The people who weren't playing poker were bowling upstairs.

We just bought our second Wii lastnight after having been Wii-less for a while now since our first one seemed to have gotten broken.
We got Guitar hero and so far we are disappointed in it because it wasn't the same as the first one we had before. This one doesn't have all the older rock songs that we all loved and I wish we hadn't lost our other Guitar hero game.

We also got Raving Rabbids since it has good reviews. We all played it (parents and kids) lastnight and had a lot of fun.

I asked the guy that runs our Gamestop and he said this was his fave family game, especially if you have the wii fit board.

My teen and dh love the wii fit. As a family wii sports and wii play all get lots of play time.

Harvest Moon sounds interesting. Will have to take a look.

We love Animal Crossing and are looking for people to exchange friend codes with so we can visit other towns. My DS is fishing as I type.

Wii Fit I really enjoy.

Wii Ski is a lot of fun especially with the balance board. There is a new version out (already!) Wii Ski & Snowboard. Both my DS's ski. My 6 yr old goes all over and my 3 yr old likes to ski the bunny slope

Raving Rabbids is a lot of fun. My 6 yr old loves it. Lots of crazy humor in it and the group events are a blast.

I tend to read up on games first at places like gamespot and see what the reviewers say.
