My aristocrat covers suddenly seem to be leaking - not through leg holes or the top, but actually through the wool itself - to the point that the back of LO's nightgown is wet and even the sheet beneath her (she sleeps on her back) is damp.
I have lanolized once since I've been using them (about 2 months), and I always only use Eucalan (sp?) without rinsing, so they're getting a bit of lanolin each time they're washed. I lanolized them about 3 weeks ago.
My understanding was that you didn't have to lanolize them more than once a month, but does this mean I need to do it more often?
Is it possible I'm washing them too often, and that this is causing them to lose their water resistancy? I wash them when they get pooped on, which happens about once a week, sometimes more.
And last question - does using fitteds underneath the soakers make it less likely that they'll get pooped on than using prefolds w/ pins?
Thanks!
