Prodromal labor started on Friday night, all day Saturday, off and on Sunday. Then I got a break on Monday. Today, it's back!

I'm sorry, do you have a birth ball you can work on? Do you think baby is posterior?

My MW said that the baby is LOT (left occiput transverse), and suggested that I see a chiropractor for the Webster technique.

According to the Spinning Babies website: "The LOT is one of the ideal starting positions for labor."

The baby is also high. I think the MW was hoping that Webster's would help the babe to drop/engage.

It is, it is. LOT is less likely to turn to posterior than ROT.

Maybe alternate hands and knees with some deep squats?

Sorry, mama-- that's not fun. How confusing and frustrating!

Keep us posted

More cramps yesterday and today. Now there is a tremendous amount of pressure low in my pelvis. It feels like I have to pee constantly.

I'm working from home and sitting on a birth ball right now and bouncing a little. I have been trying to remember to take the stairs two at a time when I go up. I have been doing the cat & cow (hands & knee) yoga stretches. Any other thoughts?

Have you been doing any inversions? http://spinningbabies.blogspot.com/2...inversion.html If not then I'd definitely start doing them.

I have loads of prodromal labor too. It can be frustrating.

What does taking the stairs 2 at a time going up do?

My poor MW came and hung out for 5.5 hours tonight. It seemed like things were progressing until I fell asleep for 30 minutes. I just wish things could go one way or the other.

I've been thinking about you today. Hang in there you will be holding your little one in no time.

I'm thinking of you too! Hopefully things will get rolling soon for you!

I have this EXACT same problem!! My body starts, things really start to get going, like contractions ever 7-8 mins apart, cervix dilates more, but as soon as I try to sleep for ANY amount of time things come to a screeching halt. I'm so sorry your going through this too. My Dr was actually shocked last time when it stopped like it did. I was having some pretty heavy duty contractions, only for them to fade away as soon as I got some rest. UGH!!

I will be thinking about you, hopefully we both get some relief very very soon. Good Luck

Not in your DDC, but I have had a few babies.Prodromal labor is a GOOD thing. I know it is frustrating but this little by little way of progressing is actually easier on you and the baby. Less work will have to be done during the main event. These contractions do help make cervical changes and get your uterus toned up for birth. Good luck and I'm so sorry it is frustrating. Last time I cried at my last prenatal appointment to my midwife and the next day POOF I was in labor. It only took 90 minutes. I hope this is what happens with you.

Thinking of you and hope that you're holding your new little one.

Wondering how you're doing? Any updates?

Oh goodness, I am sorry you have to deal with that. I think its the worst. BTDT and on no sleep also for over three days at the end. It can get even worse if you don't get sleep, so that is my only piece of advice. And

: It is frustrating to deal with prodromal labor, but in my experience it does make things easier overall.

That said, I hope the OP is holder her baby by now!
