Well, I could not be happier with the 4 they picked last night. The only 2 in the top 13 I am not too thrilled about is Michael Sarver and Scott. But the fact that there are 11 contestants I really like says a lot for this season. They are all very good singers. Some are just more my style than others.

Wow! Anoop made it through?! My dvr cutoff, so I didn't see it. I'm so excited. Before they even sang, I narrowed down who I thought would go on to 4 people. And all 4 that I picked made it. I'm happy for them. But, I wanted Ju'not to go through. I loved his version of Delilah.

I think Tatiana needs to go into acting. On a soap opera. It's right up her alley.

I am really glad she did not make it thru, I just don't think I could handle even one more week of watching her.

Her accent surprised me during the interview before she sang. Didn't sound like her at all.

Did you catch how she attempted to say she is like Jorge and thinks in Spanish? I think she is a total AW, saw the attention he was getting and decided to attempt riding his coat tails by putting on an accent. That is my theory. Is she actually from PR or was she just there for auditions?

But yeah, I definitely see her in soaps. Even Paula said to her "You're going to be an actress!" Tatiana is an odd bird.

Ya I bet she did too and she is from PR. She auditioned in San Fran.

I was right there with Cara thinking, "Who are you tonight?!" Every week she's a different personality. I'm glad she's not through so we don't have to play the guessing game...Ok which Tatiana is it going to be tonight?? Solemn and somber, serious or crazy, emotional Tatiana? She's a strange one.

Yes she did try to hop on the "I think in Spanish" bandwagon. It did work with Jorge. I think he is darling. It really worked for him and made him even more endearing. She wanted that too and it came off lame and desperate.

So it's a top 13 this year instead of a top 12? Where's the list of those who made it? And Top 13 starts next week?

I'm ok with the results (and SO HAPPY my anoop made it through!) although i would have preferred Jessie (thats the redhead right?) over Jasmine. And would have probably preferred Kristen (is that her name? The blond from this week who sang the tracy chapman song) over them both, based on vocals...but would have preferred Junot over any of the girls. But i'll take what they gave me.

I thought the show was over for some reason, and started watching Survivor which we DVR'd, then it occurred to me we didnt actually SEE all three finalists, yikes, realized they ran over, and turned it back to the live show quick...i missed a couple of the "sorry you didnt make it" people, but managed to see who went through.

After Anoop sang he said something about thinking about eve and UNC and i wasnt sure what he was referring to, so i googled it, and wow, what a sad and tragic thing to have happened:

pretty sure it was the third time she sang that song.

Both she and Anoop sang repeat songs from last time, and apparently it was actually the THIRD time Tatiana had used that song.

Repeating a song is one of the things that turns me off from a contestant. Last year, it was Kristy Lee Cook. She sang Amazing Grace in her original audition, and then she sang it again as her last Hollywood song. That annoyed me, and it annoyed me that Anoop did it. He is going to have to do a lot to redeem himself in my eyes.

I dont really mind repeating a song from an earlier audition, esp when they only use a few seconds of the song for a brief audition (like before getting to hollywood)...but i think its bizarre if you are given a second chance on the show, to then sing the exact same song (like what tatiana did)...i understand they might not want to do something totally new, as they wouldnt want to mess up, forget words, etc....but they should have more than just ONE song in their pocket yknow?

i feel bad for jessie....simon told her she almost made it...gee thanks simon. is that supposed to make her feel better? I wonder who got in instead...jasmine? there's something about jasmine that bugs me, but i'm not quite sure what yet.

I think its funny how paula went on about how its not the end of the road just because you dont make it to the final 12 (13)...but really, have we ever heard from any of the prior contestants again (the ones who didnt make it to the final group)??

I am thrilled that Matt Giraud made it in, but I really wanted Ricky there, too. I'm so bummed he didn't get voted in over Michael. (I think they sang the same week.) I don't think Scott deserves to be in the top 13, either. I love Anoop, and don't care that his song was a repeat. The way he got the crowd into it was amazing!

I could live without both Jasmine and Megan. I'd rather have seen Jesse in the top 13. I also think that Ju'not would have been a better choice over either of the women that made it Thursday night.
