i was just wondering if any of ya'll found out very early (you know the poas-aholics) and the line on the hpt was very very faint. well my question is how long did it take to get darker. i found out 2 days ago and the line was so light i thought it wasnt real. well it has gotten darker but it is still light, so i was just wondering if anyone had this happen and everything is okay? thanks in advance

I got my BFP on day 10 and it was faint (not VERY faint), but still faint. The next day I took another one and it was a little darker. All in all, I've taken 5 (yes...I'm paranoid) and they varied in level of darkness. From what I understand, a line is a line! Congrats!!!

I had an almost non-existent line and it took about 4-5 days for it to get darker. I wasn't sure if it was for real, but I have worked in OB for a while and know that ANY line is a real line! Good Luck!

I'm a crazy lady and POAS at 8 DPO and got a positive with a FRER. It took until around 14 or 15 DPO to get a nice, strong, dark line. By then it was about the same color as the control line.

In all honesty, since I know "a line's a line", I don't really retest after the first 2 days I get those super faint lines. The last 3 pregnancies of mine I got extremely faint lines in the 10-12dpo range, like soooo faint you could only see them at a certain angle in daylight. Each time I did test one or two more times in the next 24 hours, just to "be sure" I wasn't imagining the 1st faint line.

Really, a line's a line! No matter how faint!

CONGRATULATIONS & welcome to the Oct09 DDC! :

I got a BFP at 9 DPO via a dollar store BPT.

i was a poas-a-holic with my first two babies -- with ds because i really couldn't believe we were actually expecting a baby and with dd because that line was so very faint. but it was truly positive.
with this pregnancy i actually tested negative at first, there was no faint line. i thought i was pregnant, took the test within the *can take the test 5 days before your expected period* time frame and got nothing. made me double think my usually good pregnancy premonitions. after i missed my period i retested and came up positive. i am literally holding back from retesting, especially since my doctor said there is no need to confirm with blood work at this point since hpt's are so accurate. i am in poas withdrawal.
