Would like some feedback

I've got a blog in my siggy. I would like some feedback please. Please excuse typos/spelling mistakes(and let me know) as I don't have someone to proof read.

My blog is simple right now, hoping to have a custom template in the future and working everyday to add content.

It looks "clean" and "bright." Good luck with it! The text on the header a bit hard to read, but not too bad.

Thank you! And I checked out your blog...my dh just applied for work in NS...it's one of those things where he got in touch with an old boss who is very excited and is going to call when an opening comes up! I'm originally from Newfoundland!

so far i only checked your scrabooks! ;-)

and glanced around--the very long posts...my very honest opinion...i don't have the patience for very long posts...but this is from someone who has tiny posts i find i realy need to be *into* a blog to read a long post...

so keep i mind this is all naking... so my attention span is super limited.

It's aiming to be inspirational and thought-provoking I guess, it has a thread of spirituality throughout it but the topics are kind of random.

The page loaded fine in Firefox though. I like the use of pictures in your posts. I'm also one of those "shorter posts" types of readers but I think if you used some bolded subheadings that it may help keep readers like me going (I do have a shortish attention span though hehe).

However, since my kids are asleep and I have a bit of free time, I read through what you've written and I really like the way you present your message, etc. I love the header graphic.

I was having trouble too..I'm guessing it was a general blogger problem. It seems to be ok

The header graphic is just up from my mother's house where I grew up, I took the picture last summer when I was home. I've always wanted to build a house there. The fence is there to keep the horses in, it's the Newfoundland Pony refuge.

I also want to do categories...so that might help..like if you like poetry you can jump right to that and I'm not writing epic poems so...

and a category for kids stuff, a category for "world issues" etc.

What a lovely place to live! I think categories are a great way for people to navigate blogs. I have seen some sites with a few and others with dozens of categories.

What I have found since I started my blog two years ago is that there are nearly as many preferences as there are readers. Good luck and I've added it to my reader.

Thank you or adding me and thank you for your feedback. I've added some categories..I think..lol. I've got to go back and fix it up a bit but I think it helps. I also added a picture of a whale on the side(my husband took it while he was cod fishing with my husband)

I really like it, the layout, the colors and topics. I would maybe make one tiny change... some categories start with a capital letter and others don't, weird things bug me. :

okya, this is nitpicing now but is there a way to have your header text lower, so it is at the bottom of your photo, mainly on the dark part, without breaking the photo? And I wonder if it will read better if it were in bold--fatter letters.

I've tried everything...I would love to have those words lower so I could see the ocean, and have them show. I've tried bigger fonts, different colours and that is bold
But yeah, if it were on the dark part it would show so much better.

Oriole..I know about the cap thing..bugs me too but I haven't had a chance to fix it. If you only knew how difficult it was for me to leave it like that so I could get some other stuff done...I've got steel willpower I tell ya! I'm hoping to get to it tonight

argggggggggg...I can't change the caps in the categories..they are remembered in the program the way they are and I can't over ride it...:

Well I changed my categories but before that could happen I accidentally deleted over half of my blog posts. Fortunately I got them back: but it was a heart-wrenching experience.

So now I have capitals on all my categories.

But I can't get the header text to move down.
