Boy! Whoohoo! He was born on Feb 17th at 4:15pm at home. He is 7lbs5oz and 19in long!
Here is the short version of my homebirth. Hopefully I'll get the whole thing written soon, maybe once we finally figure out a name! LOL
Oh my. So the only part of that labor that was long was the weeks of pre-labor stuff. I started timing contractions around 2pm. Totally managable until I got up to go to the bathroom at about 3:45. I then was on all fours on the bathroom floor and didn't get to go to the pool since it was still filling up in the other room. My MW got here just in time. Her assistants didn't get here in time, my mom got to assist and was so thrilled. DH didn't make it home in time, he arrived about 5 min late. The girls were in the other room, luckily Tay was napping through all of my active labor.
Girls are great with him. T is so happy to have a baby brother and Z is doing great helping with everything.
It took him a bit to start nursing but now he is a champ. I forgot what it was like to be a human pacifier.
I am still amazed that we had a boy! Whoohoo!
