Reality Steve's theory is that Jason settled on Molly early in the show. He then conspired with the producers to select Melissa at the finale, sham an engagement with her, break up with her at the finale and announce that he'd continued to date Molly all along. RS speculates Molly wasn't in on it (at least up to the finale) so they'd get a realistic reaction out of her when she was 'rejected'.

It will be interesting to see what actually happens. Even if Molly wasn't in on it before the finale, you'd think she'd have to be afterward, and I can't imagine going along with that and still being able to respect him in any way.

This is just too much for me. It's all too contrived. I don't believe for a second that Jason conspired with the producers to select Melissa at the finale and then continue to date Molly all along. No way.:

Well except that he was apparently seeing Molly on the weekends he wasn't with Melissa. It doesn't necessarily mean the whole thing was planned, but it doesn't sound like he justc hanged his mind either.

Yikes, this is quite shocking, indeed! I do hope this is not true, although it sure would be dramatic! How awful for Melissa with all she's been through, if Jason would do this to her knowing all that. That would really be despicable. And if it is true, I don't see how Molly could go along with that and still respect him.

Next week will be "the women tell all", right? Where the women talk about their time on the show, before the finale?
