No, it is the same as the old system actually

3 alerts=warning
3 warnings =suspension
6 warnings=second suspension
9 warnings=banned

So..18 points/alerts is the same as 9 warnings.

Will other people (non moderators) be able to see if and how many points we have against us? or will this be a shame that we can keep to ourselves?

Can people ever be immediately banned from MDC for REALLY awful posts? I remember once reading a post by a child molester describing his crimes and I'm really, really hoping that guy was immediately and permenantly banned from MDC. Do administrators have the authority to ban somebody like that after one post?

The auto-termination thing serves two purposes. When someone who is "banned" logs in it gives a reason they were banned and when they can come back. This will give them a date that it is over.

That wasn't the case, people could say "Let me in I will follow rules but I do not like you abimommy! I do not like you real bad!" and I would be "alrighty" and and return access. This will auto return access. So no one will have to email to get their access returned.

I also think that your alerts should decay overtime. For example if you dont get an alert for 3 months 1 of your alerts disapear. Something that is still good for the system but allows users to get back in good graces.

That will be something we will have to examine. I don't really like to say "never."

I just wanted to put in my 2 cents

I think points and warnings should expire after x amount of time. I have....ummm.....some points and/or warnings :

I do not think it is fair if I get to x amount I am banned even though I have been here since 2004. So most of the time I am good :

But someone can come on and rack that up in a few months. Know what i mean?

That's what I was saying too...that after 6 or 12 months you should be able to 'heal' one UAV. Maybe not all of them at once necessarily, but one at a time after being good for so long or something.

Alerts are issued by a moderator. Warnings are issued by an administrator. Three alerts equal a warning. Three warnings result in a suspension for one month. Suspension may be from a specific forum or all of MDC. Two suspensions may result in removal of membership. Based on the severity of the violation or the number of previous violations by a member, the Administrator may issue a warning, suspension or ban.
