Help me pick a Hotsling size?

I want to get a Hotsling for my LO due in 2 weeks. I will probably buy on line (I like the deals on ebay ) and I want to get the size right. How important is the bust size? I am 5'6" and about 165 lbs pre-pregnancy, currently right at 200lbs at 37 wks pregnant and I'm usually a C cup, though who knows what will happen when milk comes in. The 165 was heavy for me pre-pregnancy, but I figure it will take a while for me to get back down to where I like to be (150ish). Anyway, I'm thinking a size 4, anybody with experience able to advise me? I'm afraid the size 3 will be too small, even though that's the correct bust size. The size 4 bust is D-E which is way bigger than I've ever been. And I'm fairly certain size 5 is too big, I expect to lose at least 20 lbs fairly quickly after the baby comes. anway, thanks for any help, I've never "baby worn" a newborn before!

Well, I'm only 5'3", a B cup, and weight 130, and I use a size 4. It seems that the sizing chart runs small because a 3 would be wayyy too small for me. Hope that helps a bit!

My target baby section carried them for awhile. I would try seeing if they were still there b/c it is extremly helpful to be able to try one on. You really need a good fit with these slings. Too big or too small will not work.

I had a 3 with my son and I was about a size 12 PP with a 36DD, and it turns out, it was too small for me. My breasts are pretty sensitive to plugged ducts with any pressure. This time around I bought a 4 in hemp, but the baby hates it, so I can't say if it plugs me up, but it does give me more room (I'm a small size 12 with a 36 E or whatever is bigger than DD!!).

Yes, I've seen them at Target before, but now can't find them there. I'll look some other places, too. But, if i do try them on, how do I know I have a good fit? Especially with a pregnant belly?

It's very hard to size someone with a pregnant belly. I sell Hotslings at my work and from what you're saying, I would go with a 4. It should be a snug fit. One rule of thumb is that the bottom of the sling is at your navel with baby inside, no lower. You could always buy a 3 and a 4 and re-ebay the one you don't keep.

Good luck.

Thanks everyone! I did find a place that had them today and she thought I was a 4 - it was a little snug around my middle, but that will soon be gone!!! Otherwise it was a good fit. I'm so excited to wear this baby!
