Getting Vaxed While Nursing

Thread Starter
I'm scheduled to start school for dental hygiene this summer and I just found out that I have to get the Hep B vax. I am anti-vax, know the dangers, won't vax my 7 week son, but now I have to vax myself? I'm really uncomfortable with that and what's worse is that I'm nursing.

Has anyone who's anti-vax been in this situation--having to vax for work/school? Are there ways to get out of it? If I absolutely have to do it, how crazy is it to do while nursing? Should this even be a consideration??

I believe you can submit an exemption for work like you would for school. Here's a thread with more info:

Vaxes are considered safe by the vaxing world. I know I had my first Hep B when I was nursing AJ, and possibly the MMR (this was obviously before we stopped vaxing so he must've been like 2 mos). I need to get my 3rd Hep B done sometime before I start clinicals, but that might not be for a while. Good luck.
