mercury in vacinations= greater chance of autism

Autism runs in my family, so I am trying to figure out everything I can do to make sure my son doesn't get it. ( Boys are more likely to get it than girls also)

I have heard and read that the mercury in some vaccinations can lead to Autisum. Does anyone have any supported links or information on this? Do you know what vacinattions particularly?

I would be more concerned with other things, like aluminum.

I've seen something about industrial mercury pollution relating to Autism cases in TX where the concentration of pollution pretty much matched the map of numbers of Autism cases. I can't remember where I saw it several years ago now. It didn't suggest causality, but did draw a link between the two on the order of aluminum and Alzheimer's disease. There are several theories about how the various neurotoxins in vaccines trigger different prevalent neurological diseases including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, SPD/SID, etc.

There's not a lot of mercury in the normal childhood schedule anymore (in the US). I'm not a mercury apologist--I don't think any is truly safe, but there are more factors involved.

I, personally, have detoxification problems. My health has been quite affected by the mercury in my amalgam fillings, and both my kids got a very high toxic load from me. Our poor detoxification, along with the aluminum in some of the vaccines in the current schedule, I believe would have combined to make a marginal situation much worse if I'd vaccinated my son.

Looking at the issues of detoxification and gut health and diet from a broader perspective may yield benefits for many in your family; it has for us.
