Are you a Diaper-aholic?

I really love ordering and getting new diapers...is that weird? I really adore using cloth! Why is this??? I currently have 2 in cloth and totally love it. My dh thinks I am crazy. I currently have plenty of diapers and am avoiding my favorite sites just so I don't order more on a whim or find a great deal. I am crazy!

Argh...I'm right there with you. I probably spent more on cloth up to now than I would ever have spent on sposies. IDK. I just love ordering stuff and I get excited when I see it in the mail PLUS I hate doing laundry but there's nothing nicer than pulling fresh, clean diapers out of the washer or dryer...isn't that weird?

I definitely am!!!! I have been adding to our stash in preparation for number 2... DS1 will only be 14 months so we have a good long time ahead of us with 2 in diapers... I love fluffy mail!!

I actually got sad about my son potty training because I was so disappointed to think he wouldn't ever wear those super cute diapers again!

You don't sound crazy.

Many get bitten by the diaper bug. Tell dh its cheaper than a Louis Vuitton - aholoic

People look at me sort of wierd when I tell them that diapering my kid is fun and I love buying diapers, etc. It's something only a fellow cd'er can understand! Waiting to find out the gender of #2 so I can start building my stash some more!:

i love buying diapers! fluffy mail is better than any mail!

You are definitely not alone! I'm really bad about. I'm only 21w pg and I have my entire stash, from nb to pl'ing (if the OS dipes make it that far).
I had a decent stash about $200 ago. I keep finding good deals.

I recently had a purchase that I wasn't happy with, so that might have squashed my desire to buy more...but probably only for a short time.

I just started CDing my dd. I am so so so sad I didn't do it with my son! It would mean more dipes that I could have bought. I am right there with you. I think I am going to eat up my clothing budget on cloth for dd. Dh will love that... ha!

Um, yeah, I consider myself a diaperaholic

I was going to use just prefolds & covers, I did for about the first 4-5 months but recently I bought some fitteds and pocket diapers and I just ordered a bunch of inserts and I'm planning on buying a few more pockets

I also have two dozen prefolds (in the next size) and 4 covers on the way, but they're stuck at customs :

So far I have:
25 infant prefolds, 5 xs covers, 5 s covers

6 BG OS pockets 3.0 (without inserts, they were seconds and pretty cheap)
1 wonderoos OS pocket + inserts
1 M fuzzibunz + insert
1 M drybees pocket + insert
6 M tots bots (bamboozles) fitteds + 1 fleece cover (not loving them too much)
2 M bummis super brite covers

on the way: 24 premium prefolds & 4 M bummis SWW covers, various inserts

what I plan on buying: 2 more drybees M and 3 drybees L for later

I think that's it.

I don't know how to explain it either, but it's just so much fun trying (buying) all these different kinds of diapers

I'm becoming one! I really wanted to CD my first DS, but it didn't happen. I've always regretted it and now I really know what I was missing.

I originally CD because I wanted to save money. I am going to have to have a second child for that to happen. I love trying new ones and figuring out which ones I like. They are all so fluffy and cute. I love matching LO dipes to his outfits, I know I am a crazy mom. I am hoping that I can settle on one dipe and stop buying more. Luckily, I haven't found any sales lately. There's always a sale somewhere.

i am the hugest cd addict, but we are so broke right now. it really is torture, even though i have *enough* diapers, i waited so long to get pg again- i should be able to buy EVERY SINGLE DIAPER I DESIRE. hehehe. er, desire for the baby

I always tell new moms be careful, cloth diapering is VERY addictive. Its actually fun to have to change a diaper. There is nothing like seeing your tiny baby in an adorable cloth diaper.

That is hilarious!

Yes, CD's - big addiction! Does anyone else think in terms of how many diapers they could have bought with a certain sum? I had a late fee on one of my bills (wonder why I was too distracted to pay it on time?- I did get it waived though) but before I knew I was getting it waived, I thought of the diapers I could have bought with that money! I have to say that I don't go nearly as crazy as I would like to!!

I will second that. I CD my DS1 for just a month or two when he was about 15 months old. Now that I have a newborn again, I am really getting into it and CD him pretty much full time. My DS1 at 27 months actually asks to wear the large CD I bought for DS2! (They are pretty cute Dr Seuss ones...I can see why he likes them.)

I think I am just a 'gear head' at heart. I used to be all excited about hiking/camping/climbing gear, now it is cloth diapers and wraps. My how things change when you have kids!

I thought I'd be done with my stash when I finally got my unbleached flats from GMD (I have over 100 prefolds and flats and only 2 kids in dipes ) but now I'm thinking "hmmmm...some fitteds for going out might be nice, and maybe something different for nights" even though I DON'T NEED THOSE THINGS and am perfectly capable of making fitteds (I have 10 yards of birdseye and 5 yards of burley knit terry and 15 yards of diaper elastic sitting in my sewing room). There is nothing better than fluffy mail. It absolutely made my day a couple weeks ago when I came home and found my box from GMD on the doorstep. :

I'm sad that I bought so many plain diapers when there are awesome covers out there. I don't feel like I can justify buying more.

Yep, I'm addicted I just got bored with my stash of Goodmama's and traded them all in for prefolds I do that all the time though, I'll feel like prefolds for a while then branch out, then switch, then go back...but I always find myself going back to prefolds so *hopefully* this time it will stick
