I'm counting the days until tax refund time so I can buy me some Crickett's The Thirsties Fab Fitteds I splurged on with my call money last week didn't stop the desire, only enhanced it.

YES! When we eat out, I always think that the money could have bought a few diapers. lol.

I'm so addicted to it, that I'm coming up with all kinds of rationalizations for buying more.
I'm debating (not seriously, but the thought has entered my head) selling some that I have to buy others. That makes no sense! I don't even know how anything will fit the baby yet!

Part of the problem is finding sales. I find sales and it seems so urgent- like Buy now, or you will never find a diaper for this price again!!!

I was going to use just prefolds & covers, I did for about the first 4-5 months but recently I bought some fitteds and pocket diapers and I just ordered a bunch of inserts and I'm planning on buying a few more pockets

I also have two dozen prefolds (in the next size) and 4 covers on the way, but they're stuck at customs :

So far I have:
25 infant prefolds, 5 xs covers, 5 s covers

6 BG OS pockets 3.0 (without inserts, they were seconds and pretty cheap)

1 M fuzzibunz + insert
1 M drybees pocket + insert
6 M tots bots (bamboozles) fitteds + 1 fleece cover (not loving them too much)
2 M bummis super brite covers

on the way: 24 premium prefolds & 4 M bummis SWW covers, various inserts

what I plan on buying: 2 more drybees M and 3 drybees L for later

I think that's it.


I don't know how to explain it either, but it's just so much fun trying (buying) all these different kinds of diapers

I already converted my plan into reality and bought 5 more diapers. :
I really have to stop now, though.

Yes, I just purchased $300 of diapers last week, one of those urgent sales (barley used dipes) They probably cost the gal $700 and bought only 6 months before. So many blueberries! I"m hopoing that they will work for baby when she's an infant...I have all OS HH, BG, Blueberries, FB. If I could I'd be buying kissaluvs and infant swaddlebees for a slim infant bum but can't afford it...
I was so excited when I got this stash that I showed everyone I knew even those who don't CD...they all thought I was crazy about my "diaper High"!

So funny - I was just trying to explain this to a non CDing friend. I am new to mommyhood, and have recently discovered diaperswappers....before I knew it I had spent $80 we DEFINITELY did not have in the budget for diapers. I had to hang my head when I told DH, though he just smiled and shook his head. Then AFTER that conversation, I found myself on the site again! It was very very very hard to convince myself there was no reason for me to be on the site.

Now I have a mantra in my head every time I sit down to the computer: "no reason to go to diaperswappers, no reason to go to diaperswappers,..."

I found a local WAHM who makes custom dipes - I can get fitteds for six bucks! How can I pass that up?! WHERE is my refund?!
