My husband doesn't like the ERGO (he is crazy), what do I get when our ds outgrows the bjorn? Any suggestions?

What doesn't he like about the Ergo? That might help to know what to recommend...

Well, for other easily available carriers there is the Beco. Or does he prefer the idea/function of a mei tai?

Would he wrap? They're very versatile, and you can find some very nice plain ones, if he's a utilitarian kind of guy.

He is a big guy and he doesn't like the front carry since his belly fills too much space and he doesn't like the back carry because it doesn't feel secure enough.
Thanks

He's not that crazy...my husband hated the Ergo. He felt that our son didn't ride high enough on his back. We both really like doing high back carries, so that little one can see a little over our shoulders.

He may like a mei tai better, since he can do a higher back carry and still be very secure and he can tie above his belly up towards his chest. That's how my husband does it.

He may also like a ring sling or short wrap that he can wear rebozo style. My husband can easily work a short wrap and likes to carry our son in it on his side (like a ring sling or pouch, but with just the short wrap).

DH chose the Beco Butterfly over the Ergo. The internal sling made him feel like it was more secure.

At first my dh would use a closed tail sling or a buckle tai. He wanted simple and fast. Eventually he got an onbuhimo for back carries. Perhaps your dh would like a ring sling for hip carries.

I was going to suggest a Beco Butterfly, too. My DH finds it really comfy (he just hates the steps to get the toddler into it).

What about a action baby carrier? They have them in a good assortment of colors. My DH likes his.
