retracted? what do i do?

my son (11 months) got a VCUG today. i was not paying attention when they put the catheter in (regretting this right now, but at the time could only think of consuling my baby who was freaking out being strapped to the xray board) and i think they may have retracted his foreskin somewhat. since the procedure he has been crying out for no apparent reason, just all of a sudden. and when i was changing him tonight i noticed the tip of his penis was looking red and kind of irritated. i am wondering if he is crying out because his penis hurts.

what should i do for him or what should i look out for? if he was retracted will it cause problems in the future?

He's probably crying out when he pees, b/c it stings. A little breastmilk and diaper cream might make him more comfortable.

: when dd had the VCUG it hurt her to pee for a few days after.

Some helpful tips can be found here to help with irritation http://www.mothering.com/discussions...d.php?t=764732
