I hesitate to post this, given the worries about the Wisconsin bill and the serious trouble with the North Dakota bill, but good news from Washington state today.
House Bill 1596 which would amend the Washington state civil rights law to protect breastfeeding in public accommodations (making public breastfeeding a civil right with the same enforcement mechanism as other civil rights) has passed out of committee and been sent to the state house floor.
See http://apps.leg.wa.gov/documents/bil...Bills/1596.pdf for the precise text of the bill.
If you live in Washington state, please contact your house representative to voice your support for HB 1596.
