Plus size Mama needs wrap help!

I'm a size 22ish and I have a pretty sizable bustline (I'm in a Bravado 46K nursing bra if that tells you anything)

We had a Moby wrap once upon a time but it got lost in one of our moves. I'd LOVE to have one again but I know that it wont' fit - it's just too short to wrap properly around my body with the bustline I've got to contend with.

Any advice on what is the best wrap to buy? Barring that what might be the best fabric choice to buy If making one myself would be the better option (I have access to a sewing machine if necessary)?

TIA!

I am also pretty large especially in the bust so I just assume things won't fit. So, I made mine. I made it half the width the fabric comes & 6 metres long. I used t-shirt material so no hemming necessary.

i made one for myself out of tshirt material too....i assumed the ones you buy in the store wouldnt fit! it was ok til dd hit about 18 lbs and then the material did have a little too much give, so i put it in storage. i did buy an original style one for a friend though this past yr and in showing her how to tie it, i realized that it did indeed fit me, and im a bit larger than you. the only thing is that i tied it in the back rather than bringing it around to the front that last time - which btw was a suggestion in the manual. it actually wasnt all that hard to tie in the back.

the other sling that i love, being a plus sized mama is the ergo with the extender tab. i could almost fit in it without the tab (maybe you can, im a size larger than you). but it was great when dd was heavier (i didnt buy it til she was 18-20 lbs) and im sure it would have been great when she was smaller too.

i had a ring sling made for me, and i hated it. it coulda been the sling design, but i had a really hard time telling if it was tight enough and then if it was too tight....i still have it somewhere....if you want it pm me

We do have an ergo already - lost the extender tab though so I'll have to reinvest. It's mostly the boobs that get me hung up on the fit with the wraps. I've got an amazonas that was given to me by an MDC mamma but it just doesn't fit me - fits DH GREAT though and he wears Maia too.

I made my own -- it was no-sew and SO easy!! I just bought 6 yards of stretch jersey fabric, cut it lengthwise to a 22-inch width, and that was it -- one Moby-style wrap, done in about 5 minutes with nothing but a pair of scissors and a measuring tape! I didn't hem the edges or anything (you only have to hem if you're using a woven/non-stretch material), and it's held up through 10 months of wearing/washing with no fraying at all!

Six yards worked fine for me, but you can buy the fabric as long as you want to make sure it'll fit, and then trim it down if you realize it's too long once you put it on.

If you want, you can sew a button in the center to make it easier to find for when you're putting it on, but even that is optional.

I have a 4.6m Storch. Works great for me, I have extra length left. I have no idea what size I am, probably an 18/20 & my bust is about 44G/H. I'm pretty short, though. I also have a 6yd GypsyMama Wrap. I found it quite a bit too long, even with the carries that need the most fabric, the tails dangle too much.

I'm a 26/28 and pretty chesty as well and my size 6 GypsyMama wrap works wonderfully
