If you have a wetbag for your diaper bag

What size is it? How many diapers does it hold?

And of course, where did you get it?

I have several wet bags.
The ones for the diaper bag have varied in size. Some bags held 3, some bags held about 5. It depends on which I grabbed. Our wet bags have been interchangeable when needed. I have them in the bathrooms as well to hold family cloth and little ones for the purse to hold personal mama travel cloth. I don't think there is really any one set standard size. It depends too on how much bulk you want to tote around and how long your trip ranges are going to be.

We use the smallest sized "Bummies" bags. We also have a medium one if we are going to be gone for a long time, but usually the small one fits all the diapers we need. We are using pocket diapers, so they're fairly small. We might use the medium sized ones more if we were just using prefolds. DS is 18 months now, too, so doesn't go quite so often as a tiny babe. We love them, too, and also use the large size for our diaper pail liner.

I'm trying to figure out how many dipes I need to take with me when out and about. I'd say that most of the time I'll only be out for a couple of hours. I'm guessing 3 dipes is enough, and I could keep a couple of disposables in the car for emergency backup. But then there are definitely going to be days when we are gone all day (lots of bluegrass fests lined up for the summer!) and I'll need more. So maybe I need more than one.

I think for a baby under a year, I'd take a diaper per hour plus one, just in case Probably don't need so many for an older babe. It is nice to have a bag for diapers and a bag for clothes, too, if you are going to be gone all day, in case of leaks or spit up or spills or whatever else might happen.

I find I really need to have 2 wetbags because one is washing/air drying, and I still need one to use! Mine measure maybe 14x18 or so when flat and I made them myself! : )

I bought mine from here, you have to scroll down to see them. Since they were so cheap, I got 2 small and 2 large. The smalls would probably fir 4-5 diapers, and the large a lot more! I figure it will be nice to have one in the diaper bag and one in the laundry and some extras for whatever. Haven't actually used them yet, but I looked into them before buying and people seem happy with them.

i also have a small bummis bag - have had the same one for 2 yrs. i would say it holds 6-7 small pfs maybe more, and probably 5 med/lg pockets maybe more.....i cant remember the last time it was full. you can always throw a grocery bag in all balled up in a random pocket in your bag for just in case or a super messy one you dont want all over your wets (in case you have a super pooper).

I have the Planetwise wet/dry bag: http://www.rgnaturalbabies.com/i_122...WetDry-Bag.htm I LOVE it. It holds about 5-6 diapers (size large). Price is good too.

I have several. It depends on how often you wash. I wash about every other day. I have 2 small wetbags for the diaper bag. Once you put a wet dipe in there you really need to wash it. So I have 2 in case I go out 2 days in a row. I have about 4 medium to large size bags, that hold 5-8 dipes. I keep a wet bag up and down stairs. Plus I like like to change out when they get full, rather than have a big one that can hold 2 days worth of dipes. You will need a bag while the others are being washed and dried. My favorite bag is from http://www.monkeyfootdesigns.com. I prefer the zipper bags. I never could close up the elastic drawstring bags. I'd also recommend one that has a strap with a snap. Then you can hang it beside where you change LO.

I have the bummis bags - a bunch of smalls, b/c I keep one in my car diaper bag which is always stocked with 6 or so prefolds, a wetbag, and a cover. I keep one in my purse/bag, and need extras for the wash, just in case We also have 1 medium for long outings, and it was perfect for an overnight trip the other week

I have two Mommy's touch wetbags, I think I ordered them from here: http://www.abbyslane.com/catalog.php?category=498. They aren't as fancy as the others but I use the regular sized ones and they hold 4-5 diapers well and cost a lot less than the others. I love that they zip. I've been using them for a few months and I am very happy with them.

we persoanally use a couple of wet bags too so when one is in the wash we have a clean one. We like the wahmies bags. The reg. size, it holds 6 to 8 diapers. It has a zipper and holds in the smell and wet.

I don't know the exact measurements, but mine is huge. I wanted one big enough to hold an entire day's worth of diapers for two kids. My mom made it out of boiled wool, just sew up three sides and add a zipper. I lanolized the inside pretty heavily and it works great.

Thanks for the help everyone!

I have what is I think a bummis? one for the diaper bag. It can hold maybe 3 diapers. I don't like it too much because it is a drawstring and it allows odor to escape. I am on the look out for a good quality cheap zip one. LOL

I got them really cheap at www.swaddlebees.com/outletstore

They are 2.99 & 3.99 depending on size.
