Help! My 6 yo dd has dandruff!

Any suggestions on natural ways to clear it up?? TIA Mamas!!

you might try a shampoo with tea tree oil in it like this one from California Baby. It seems to work well for dandruff and cradle cap.

Yes, you can also buy tea tree oil and add it to your own shampoo. Rosemary also helps with dandruff - boil some fresh rosemary and use the infused water to rinse his hair after a shampoo. Do not rinse it off, leave the rosemary rinse on his hair.

This may not be the case for your child but my dd had scaly stuff on her head and it's much improved since we've learned of her allergies and taken those foods out of her diet.

Make sure that you only use shampoos that do not contain sodium lauryl sulfate as they dry out the scalp (plus many people are sensitive/allergic).

Treat her scalp once a week with jojoba oil mixed with a bit of rosemary essential oil. Rub the oil into the scalp and allow to sit (overnight if you can). It will wash out pretty easily with shampoo the next day. It cuts through all the scalp crud and increases circulation to the scalp as well.
