i'm hungry right now [go figure] but typically NOTHING sounds good. this has been obvious for about a week now. at first i was getting extreme hunger pangs, but now.. well.. nothing.

i'm not worried. i'm 10 weeks and have gained 3 lbs. anybody else going through this, though?

I am right there with you! For weeks 4 and 5 (right after my BFP) I was starving all the time, but about 6 weeks I started to be more and more queasy and just not into food. Its been weird for me, cuz I'm normally a real foodie, but these days nothing sounds or looks or smells good. I keep eating to help with the nausea, but I haven't enjoyed food for a couple weeks now

I think I have gained a pound or so, but its hard to tell what's bloat and what's weight gain at this point. I sure hope to start liking food again soon. Its sad cuz some of my favorites turn me off--don't even like chocolate these days! All I want anymore is bananas.

Hungry all the time, and NEED to eat (it's the only thing that keeps the nausea somewhat at bay) but it's very strange what I want to eat. Creamy stuff is sounding good most of the time (like alfredo, thicker soups) but that's bad because I'm on very limited dairy due to my younger son's allergy (and he's still nursing). Also sounding good most of the time is smoothies...strawberry peach, to be exact!! :

THis morning I had leftovers from dinner, it was a chicken pasta dish that was yummy, but I had to eat it QUICK before the nausea set in too much and I missed my opportunity to eat. Once the nausea kicks in, I'm doomed the rest of the day, but as long as I can get food in my tummy quickly, then keep it coming nearly constantly, then I'm okay.

Very different than my first two pregnancies, that's for sure!

Yep, had this happen too. Pregnancy really messes with ya, huh? I have actually lost close to 7 lbs because nothing sounded or tasted good and I was too nauseous to eat.

yea! vitamins haven't been a problem at all. is it weird that we can't wait to gain weight? we'll probably be thinking very differently in a few months..

My appetite is nothing what it used to be. I think I've had dinner once this week. I just haven't been hungry. I haven't weighed myself in a week or so, but between this and being horribly sick on Thursday I'm sure I'm down a few pounds. I'm in no rush to gain any. I had enough extra before the pregnancy to help it along. :-) Not a lot, I'm not big, but I'm also not stressing one way or the other about my weight. Nor my appetite. I figure at some point I'll 1) be hungry and 2) find something more than french fries always appealing.

ugh - that's me exactly too. I've lost 14 lbs so far!!! (at 13 weeks ) It's nuts.

I can't wait for my food to taste good again - my dr. actually just perscribed some REglan, now I'm trying to decide if I should take it or not.

I have managed to eat some portion of dinner for the last week - so it IS getting better, thank goodness!

I actually was just reading something that said not to worry too much about weight loss (within reason) in the first trimester - that as long as you ate healthfully before you got pregnant, your body has enough nutrients for the baby for the first trimester.
