drying wool covers

Thread Starter
I just washed my wool for the first time and i have 1 wool longies (wahm) and 1 babyology cover...i washed the longies last night and they are still not dry...i've put them on a mesh dryer thing i have and even put them outside to get some wind..turned them inside out...still wet....i washed the cover today and it is still wet...i expect that. Does it normally take a long time for wool to dry? I did figure that i put to much lanolin in my wash routine and the longies are a bit sticky with lanolin...but i heard that is ok right?
I love wool at night...we have no leaks and i'm wondering what i'm goning to use tonight on babe.

After washing your wool there are a couple of things you can do to speed up drying time: spin it out in the washing machine, or roll it up in a towel and squeeze the water out.

It often takes a couple of days for my wool to dry.

I will sometimes lay my wool on top of the dryer when I`ve got it running, to give it just a little heat. Ditto for hanging it on a chair and placing the chair over a heat register (forced air vent).

I`m sure the amount of lanolin will be fine. I don`t know if it is possible to use too much!

I also spin mine out in my machine, then I stand it up on a table with a water bottle inside it to prop it up and keep it *open* to allow air to circulate better (rather than laying flat with the two layers on top of each other).

It's ok for the covers to be sticky, it will wear off with use. I realized after lanolizing my LANA cover that the company I bought it from had lanolized it prior to sending it to me, so it was VERY sticky for a while.
