My (almost) 5 year old has had all of his vaccinations. He's up to date, except for the 2nd MMR.
The problem? When he was first born, I "didn't know any better"about vaccinations (and honestly didn't even really think about it) but I recently started researching them....
My son is entering kindergarden in the fall and I don't know what to do since he hasn't had the 2nd dose of MMR.
How do I handle this with the school if I don't want to give him the vax? Do I submit all his vaccinations and then attach a religious exemption to it? I mean, I think it's important for the school to know that he's had all but one shot, right? (I don't want to withhold information from them.) But will they "give me a hard time" about the religious exemption since he's had practically everything else? Or do I just give my son the 2nd MMR???
HELP.
:
Sorry for all the questions, I'm relatively new to all of this.
FYI- we live in Maryland (for what it's worth).
Thanks in advance.
