NIP or NIP when there's more to love? - Page 2

I was never skinny while nursing, and never smaller than an H cup while nursing either (often a J cup with a new baby- but never ever with a slender waist) and I've never, once, gotten any rude comments by strangers when NIP. I always dressed in nursing tops or nursing outfits (2 pieces that approximated a nursing top) and often used a sling as a cover as well, but I never used an actual nursing cover or nursed under a blanket.

My FIL wouldn't look at me when I nursed with him in the room (but he'd stand and talk to me while facing the other direction) but I never had any other problems whatsoever.

Im 5'2 and a d cup normally,atleast a dd right now and I get the look!..Im also 5'2 and normally 105lbs

I was at the mall last week w a friend, and a guy was staring at my breasts something fierce(my wonderful friend pointed out) and pretty much right on cue my dd woke and I started nursing her...

The look on the preverted mans face quickly changed frm bliss to disgust and he quickly walked away. Jerk

I do use a cover up in certain places, around dh's dad/grandparents(his grandmother HATES my nursing, she has made many comments about the size of my breasts). Around my 13 year old cousin(he gets really nervous) and sometimes in restaurants

I noticed that the mother in the Denny's restaurant was nursing a baby over 12 months old. It seems that women who are nursing for longer than 9-12 months are also targeted for harassment, not just the larger women, or small women with larger breasts. A person who can accept a tiny baby nursing at the breast will flip out when he/she sees a toddler nursing.
I think that's part of it too. It's easier to accept a helpless being suckling at a breast then a child who has the ability to communicate his or her needs, suckling at the breast.

I do think weight has something to do with it too. I am overweight, and I have always had large breasts, even when I wasn't overweight. Though, I've never had any comments per say, but I know I've had glances, and double takes. I've always managed to be discreet about it, and learned to work with the extra love I have.
