is there wool cover patterns that have actual measurments

I am searching all over the net and too be all the instructions are vague. It just says to cut out the pattern and then do this and that. How do I know how small or big to cut, is there some that has measurements. The closest I found was one that says to lay a diaper cover out and out line it. First the requires me to have a diaper in the first place (which I do from DS birth but it is the small one and I want to make a bigger size).

So if anyone can help me out that would be cool. I am looking to make bum sweaters and wool wrap covers.
