How to wear a baby with orthopedic shoes?

My daughter has clubfeet, and has to wear shoes that are attached to each other by a stiff metal bar. Her feet are about shoulder width apart. She can bend her legs, but now I'm at a loss for how to wear her! I was loving the Moby until she got the shoes, and I've tried her in the Maya wrap, but she is really uncomfortable. We have a Snugli, and we can slide the back panel through her legs and fasten it behind her, but that's really hard to do when I'm alone and she's wiggly!

I miss wearing her - what do you recommend? I am looking at getting a padded ring sling, but I can't afford to buy anything expensive.

I would try a mei tai. That's what one woman I went to church with did with her baby with club feet. You can tie it around the waist before you pick her up and then slide it through her legs, lean back and tie it behind. It's a lot easier than the buckles that you deal with with the snugli, and much more comfy, too.
