It's hard to get doctor req's, arrange playdates etc. because there are so few people around here on mothering.com. Hello from Northern MN!

Me!!! I'm way up north too, but not as far as you. I'm about 1/2 way between Grand Rapids and Int'l Falls.

So, HI!! It can be pretty lonely around here, since everything is so spread out, and there's not all these fun places to go.

I just moved back here (my hometown) from Fargo so it's a lot different. Though, I hated Fargo so I shouldn't complain. I was born for small town living.

Oh, we LOVE Sammy's Pizza, especially the luch buffet!!! I love the small town living too, I can't stand the city!

i'm all the way down here in duluth, but i live only 3/4 of a mile from a sammy's and it's a big temptation, lol.

I went to school in Duluth. When I was pregnant with my DS I ate at Sammy's in Duluth every day seemed like. There was one just down the block from my house. (East side, is that the one you live by double dutch? N 47th Ave E) That and Pizza Luce! Wow, I'm super hungry now.

*groan* Oh, Pizza Luce... we live near St. Cloud but love heading north when we can, and Duluth is a popular getaway for DH and me. Now I'm hungry too!

I grew up in Grand Rapids. I miss it! I also lived for 5ish years in St. Paul, and a year or so in Duluth/Cloquet too.

anyone in Big Lake area?

Hi there - i'm planning on moving back to MN in july. to big lake specifically.
i'm feeling a bit of angst about it since I love living in Portland - but sine i've recently gotten divorced.... living with my family to re adjust for a bit seems like the best plan. I have 3 little ones - 5 1/2, 3 1/2 and 20 mo... so if theres anyone near that area I'd love to be in contact this summer.
