Weleda Diaper Rash Cream

Okay, so I posted here before about DD's rash...

I was able to get rid of it. (Although it came back after using only prefolds all day Saturday - I need to use fleece liners!) Anyway, I used Weleda before and after washing my dipes, I discovered that there is staining left on the pockets and AIO's! It looks as if someone splattered white paint on them! This is residue, right? I mean, if you can see it, it's there! Why did this happen? I thought Weleda was safe on CD's...??? Will stripping them save them?

I thought I saw it rated as ok- not terrible but not great.

I get white psots usually only if I have the cream slathered on really thinck. If it happens, I "spot strip" the diaper- get it wet and rub a little dawn onto the white spot, wash once with regular clothes (usuing CD-safe detergent) and then once with the diaper laundry. I often have just one diaper that needs stripping, so that is easier for me.

I generally think of those really thick diaper pastes as not diaper friendly. I actually really love Weleda, I just use a liner with it and wash the liner separately (or use a flushable liner). I've had a few white streaks on my diapers, and to be honest, I did nothing with them and they've been fine. The safest route would be to do as suggested in the pp, but I'm lazy and just left them. So far they've been ok.

footprintsbaby, when you say you wash the fleece liners separately, what do you wash the liners with? What is the reason to separate the liners - is it b/c they are fleece? does this mean you would end up washing all fleece stuff separately (i.e., pockets)? I am confused obviously. I remember you helped me once before with a question I had, so thanks for that and TIA!

belchers1, I used a whole tube of Weleda trying to treat a stubborn rash, and while it did nothing for the rash, it also didn't seem to do anything to our diapers, though we were using primarily prefolds. We do have a few pockets and I didn't notice any white. I'm using Triple Paste now b/c it worked a lot better for us.
