Wii Fit question

You know how you can get weighed and make a goal of weight loss on the Wii Fit?

Does the game let you know what you need to be doing each day in order to obtain that goal? I've been using it and I can't see a way for the game to show me what I need to be doing each day...if I've burned enough calories, for example.

I got at a local Albuquerque Target. They just happened to have two left on the shelf and we had a 10% off card so I grabbed it! LOL

ooh, nice! My Target in Rio Rancho has been out every time we've checked. I'll have to make DH hit up a few in ABQ. on his way home from work.

I got it at the one on Montgomery. It was a fluke, really. We went there to find something else in the electronic dept...and we always look at Wii games while we're there. And there it was! On the shelf! I was shocked and had to get it immediately LOL

No it doesn't. It's not a very serious weight loss program. I am using MY Fitness Coach for the Wii and it makes up a workout routine with you based on your goals, whether it's weight loss, health, flexiblity, etc. And it tests you on your progress every so often. It's a great program!

Seriously? Wii Fit is my favorite Wii thing. I don't use it as a fitness program though. It's great for a rainy day or a scorching hot day.

how do you do this?

"My Fitness Coach" is a game for the Wii. It tests you on heartrate, jumping jacks, push-ups and flexibility. You can also keep track of your weight and various measurements. You can also tell it is you have any one of the following pieces of equipment to use for that day's workout - heart rate monitor, step bench, handweights and something else that I can't remember, maybe an exercise ball. You can use all of them or none of them. It then custimizes a workout based on your level of fitness, what you have and what you want ot focus on (cardio, upper body strenth, core strength, lower body strength, flexibility or yoga). As you get stronger, it increases in difficulty. It asks you periodically throughout the workout how you feel - easy, chaleenging or too hard. It's a very cool program and the workouts are different everyday, so you don't get bored. I feel like a commercial, but I really do like this program. Good luck!

But does My Fitness Coach require me to buy a bunch of other stuff to go with it?

My dd really likes the WiiFit or I would sell it to you! LOL

No nothing else is required. You can provide yourself with weights and a step bench if you want, but it is not required.

I'm not a Wii Mama, but I have a friend who has helped start a website for Wii Fit mamas.

Here's the local article about it:

just in case any of you are interested.
