Our baby was due march 25 (I am _sure_ of the time of conception), but she was born looking and acting full term yesterday morning! I had a very intense 9.5 hrs of labor at the hospital before delivering with just a little tear. My Midwife was welcomed by the l&d staff, and good thing, because I really needed her wisdom and support.

Wow! Congratulations.

Were you planning a homebirth but delivered at the hospital because of the "premature" labor??

Congratulations! I'm glad your baby is doing so well for being so early! I'm just curious, because you mentioned she doesn't look like a preemie, did she not have a lot of vernix or lanugo (hair all over the body). DS was a 36 weeker and came out very creamy and hairy! lol He also didn't have much cartilage in his ears yet so he just had little skin flaps!

That is fabulous! Sorry you didn't get your homebirth, but it sounds like everything went well for you and your great sized 35 weeker baby girl anyway! My ds was a 36 wker and only weighed 4 lbs 13 oz - but looked and acted like a full term baby also. And nursed like a champ and went home on time...good luck to you all.

Great size! My 35 weeker was 4.15 but like a PP she nursed well & they ley me go home at 36 hours
