Sounds like a great price. I saw them in my town for $44! (Canadian)

They're on etsy for under 10 dollars in some cases.

I didn't have much money first pregnancy, so I didn't buy many maternity clothes. I had one pair of jeans that were constantly falling down and I hated it them. I really don't like jeans anyway, so I probably won't buy any this time. It seemed like a lot of clothes that were in style were very roomy, so that's what I'm hoping for this time. I plan on buying some cute sundresses and doing that most of the time.

I noticed right after baby was born that The LOFT started carrying a maternity line, I can't find anything on there website now though so i'm wondering if they got rid of it. Anyone know?

I can't wait to need maternity clothes (I know, I know, I'll hate them by the end)! I took my 10 week belly pic today and realized it looks exactly the same as my 6 week pic (the first one we took). Besides the evening bloat nothing has changed. . .can't wait to get the baby belly!

prettymom - yes, the belly bands come in different widths. The Bella Band is quite wide, whereas the one I bought off ebay is about 1/2 as wide. When I wear it so that it's completely covering the zipper of my jeans, it only comes up a few inches onto my belly.

I've never been big on bella bands (although the other day I had one of those tube strapless bras that I kind of used to cover up my unbuttoned pants).

My last pregnancy I was given a ton of handmedowns and I had to buy stuff too. Because I started off in a size small and ended in a large....

I saw this one shirt I really really wanted but the site isn't up anymore though....

I'm actually looking forward to picking up some new pieces!

Wondering if I can resurrect this thread.

I'm determined to not feel frumpy this pregnancy! To the OP or whoever else has ideas...where have you found your cutest clothes? I'm actually willing to spend a bit more money this time around for some cute summer maternity stuff.

I'm looking for some dresses for a beach vacation. I saw some cute summer styles at OldNavy.com. Anyone know where else?

I hate maternity pants. The bottom seam sits high up on my belly. Apparently, I carry low, so there's constant pressure on my lower belly. Ugh. Desperately need dresses.

If anyone finds a score for some good cotton/stretchy (pima maybe...pima rules) skirts - that sounds like a good summer plan.

My friend swares by American Apparel but I never find anything in there. I am not so tall either (only 5'4..) so they can't be too long.

i haven't gotten too much stuff yet, just a couple of tunics and a bella band. i got the one tunic from Urban Outfitters. they have a bunch of tops and dresses that totally work for maternity. i like American Apparel also, i need to get some more leggings to wear with my tops, they have some cute tunics too.

Octobermoon, funny I just bought 3 shirts and a stretchy skirt from Urban Outfitters! Now I want to go back to look more closely at the dresses.

We have an American Apparel store in Houston that I've never been to. I've always been curious...now I need to check it out, too.

Having never been pregnant before and not showing at all yet, I am so hesitant to start buying or scheming about maternity clothes (although I really want to, believe me I do!). I just don't know how big I'll get, how I will carry, what I feel looks okay on me, etc. I too plan to wear cute summer dresses as think it will be nice and roomy/airy for the belly. But I don't know how to buy something now and estimate for the belly expansion. . .any thoughts?

Maybe I'll just have to buy as I grow!

!

I've been wondering this exact same thing. I'd like to look for deals online, go to some stores, but I just don't have a clue what size(s) I should be looking for!

I emailed Ann Taylor Loft about it, and they said they stopped selling maternity clothes.

I have a bunch of AA long sleeve tees that are plenty long and stretchy. I love them!

ALOT of styles they have out now are totally going to work for pregnancy..... probably all nine months, seriously, go to Urban Outfitters website and look at the tunics for example, i think you will see what i mean. it might not be your exact style but you know how most stores will carry very similar styles. there are cute things at target that are basically the same thing and not in the maternity section. jeans are a whole other story.

Just went to look and some of those tunics at U.O. are totally cute and would work great for maternity!

I just can't justify $60 for one shirt, but I'll start hunting for something similar at my cheaper favs. . .H & M, Target, Old Navy. . .

I just went and looked at some of the tunics at UO. Some of them would definitely work, but others would only fit for a few months.

I do have a couple kind of like the orange one on the first page, which I bought at Macy's (Inc clothing line) last summer for about $15. So I would imagine the dept. stores and less expensive stores will be carrying these again if they're in style.
