And when they are sold, neither the child from which it was obtained nor his parents make one cent - the hospital does. Yet another unethical aspect of infant circumcision.

DH and I just had this conversation today!

Me: do I have cappuccino foam on my nose?
DH: maybe it's a new beauty secret and you can put it in lotion and charge a fortune.
Me: Like baby foreskins?
DH: : What?!?!
Me: you know we're not doing that if the next one is a boy
DH: yeah yeah yeah

I know, 'yeah yeah yeah' is no "of course I'd never do that to my son" but it's a far sight better than where he was when I was pregnant with DD which was, "of course we have to circ if it's a boy!" Guaranteed by the time we're having babe #2 circ won't even be on the table as an option.

There's much talk of making genital cutting illegal, or specifically striking it from Medicaid funding state by state.

Don't you think a MUCH easier law to put through would make it illegal for a hospital or doctor to profit from handling human body parts without full financial disclosure to the patient/victim and his/her family?

Foreskins and circumcision would not need to be mentioned in the law.

ALTHOUGH, we do have laws against assault and guidelines about unneccessary amputations today, and those are ignored...

No, no, no. I don't believe it. I don't believe it. It can't be true.

Did you really think this continues for the health of boys? Follow the $$$$

$300 for the OB or Ped for a 15 minute surgery...then a whole bunch more $$$ on the open market for one foreskin... They have a lot to loose if this becomes illegal.
