Does anyone currently have chicken pox who is willing to share?

Perhaps we should make sure and bump this every week or two.

We're not looking quite yet (I want to wait til my daughter is at least a year) but will start looking in the next few months. I've got at least one non-MDC friend who is probably looking already.

I defend my dissertation next week, so I'm in the market for some pox too!! : I live in the Tampa Bay area.

Do we need a Florida Pox mailing list? I might be willing to coordinate the list.

This is an interesting idea......

It's going around Santa Rosa Beach right now. Can't seem to catch them. Not many people would understand around here if I asked for my kids to hang out with theirs while sick.

I'll do some research to see where a good place to host the list would be and get it started. Would anyone be interested in helping to set guidelines for the list?
not sure about guidelines, but maybe set something up on yahoo groups (or google groups - I was on a yahoo list and apparently someone from the media tried to join - but this was a nation-wide list and I haven't had any luck with it anyway)

I think it should be invite - only - start with those that posted here and then invite-only? I know this is a public forum, but you can still get the sense of whether or not members here are legit through their posts, right?

I was looking at Google Groups vs. Yahoo Groups last night to see what the TOS were-and Yahoo stated something about promoting things that could cause harm to children. Google didn't. I'm leaning towards setting something up on Google Groups, but after midnight last night didn't seem to be the best idea.

I figured I'd post something here, and spread the word among some of my local friends who might be interested in the list-I'm sure the Mamas here know some people who might like to be kept up to date who aren't on MDC.
