The 'carrier' thread :)

Just thought I'd take the leap!

Planning to make or buy a peanut/hotsling type sling - loved that thing with the tiny babies.....

but I'm wondeing about a mei tai type carrier for a newborn.....I keep thinking it would be pretty easy to use that on the front and then put my coat on in the fall - and zip up, yk? Can you 'yoga baby' fold their legs facing you and then put them into the mei tai?

Oh yippee, a carrier thread!! That's the whole reason I wanted another baby, I love babywearing!

I use slings for the early days; Ceci liked to lie down, Carl always rode upright on my front with his legs froggied.

This time I am determined to get the hang of wrapping.

I also have a really nice wrap-style MT that I think will be nice for a little baby.

: I can't wait!

PS: Yes, you can 'froggy' their legs in the MT.

You sure can! I wore my newborn in a mei tai this way, as well as on my back. I also used stretchy and woven wraps..sometimes I used a ring sling, but liked the other options, since I prefer two shoulder support.

I've had many over time. I never did get the hang of the Moby Wrap. My favourite when my kids were little were my Hotsling which got tossed by the wayside for a Gorgeousbaby Sling lined in minkee - it was so soft and cozy. My dd slept in it constantly. Then when they got older I got an Ergo and then replaced it for a Beco which I just loved.
