I am having problems with my new covers and AIOs. Even after a short amount of time DS is getting a red rash around his thighs and a little around the waist. The covers and AIOs are from Blue Penguin. I think the AIO is regular PUL on the outside. The cover edge is a soft cotton. I notice the rash only with particular diapers. Do you think some of them got a fungal growth? I use tea tree oil already. Would boiling be the right solution? Do you think he's allergic to the fabric?

It does sound like elastic irritation... Some people can be allergic to polyester, but it's not super common, so pay attention to if your LO can wear other polyester things like fleece or whateever without a problem.
Boiling is a bit of a risk with snaps/PUL, although many people have done it successfully. If you feel you need to strip, I would try it first by doing multiple extra hot rinses in the washer. Like, turn up the hot water heater and rinse on super hot like 3-5 extra times. That usually does the trick for us and it's less risky for your diapers.
