Officials within the Department of Health and the vaccine’s manufacturers are believed to have known of the problem for several days but only issued an emergency recall of the vaccine late today.

More than 60,000 doses of the vaccine, which is offered to all four-month-old babies, could be contaminated with the hospital-acquired infection – the Staphylococcus aureus bacterium – but a third of these had already been sent to vaccination clinics before officials became aware of the problem.

This is a big deal. A very big deal. It makes one wonder about MRSA cases that pop up in the news every once in a while when a baby dies. How often do they NOT catch things like this?

What I believe is happening is that more and more researchers and doctors are owning up to the fact that vaccines are not harmless. They are not ignoring things as much as in the past. I'm seeing more and more stories about vaccination problems. Too many families have had too many tragedies related to vaccination for it all to be just a coincidence.

A spokeswoman for the MHRA said that, despite the recall, there was no evidence of any risk to children from the vaccine but she could not say how many babies could have already been injected with the vaccine. "The recall is purely a precautionary measure. There is no reason for UK children to be at any risk from this product. All vaccine supplied to the UK had passed the tests required for its use," she said

If there is no risk, WHY ARE THEY RECALLING IT???
