Dh and DD have been sniffly for the past several days and I thought I was doing well by downing water and tea and citrus fruit. But here I am at 40weeks with a raging head cold. I am so not looking to birth a baby while dealing with a runny nose and sore throat!
If I had a nanny I would take an hourlong steamy shower and then sleep for the rest of the day. I'd like to think that would make me feel better.
Thanks for letting me rant

If this makes you feel any better:
I was nearly 31 years old when I had my first daughter. I was working at a Curves for Women and was maintaining a healthy weight (for me). Then I told my boss I was pregnant and she started causing all kinds of trouble for me. I never got breaks and was told no one else asked for them, even though I was working 8-9 hours per day, 5 days a week.
My midwife gave me a note to take to work regarding the swelling in my ankles with a recommendation that I get a 2 minute break every 2 hours to sit and put up my feet. My boss then only scheduled me to work 2 hours a day! Such a b@*$%.
So, Last month of employment: I got pink eye in both eyes and an upper respiratory infection, at the same time. My boss said I was making it up and to bring in a note. I had my doctor fax it for me, since I had pink eye and couldn't drive into work without the ability to see. I had antibiotic eye ointment, I was taking herbal cold remedies, drinking lots of water and emergen-c and taking frequent showers. I, too, was so worried I'd be all sick and miserable when Abigail was born. It did all clear up beforehand, but only by a couple days. Then my labor with her started Friday afternoon, was really strong Saturday morning, and she wasn't born until Sunday evening. I'd pretty much not had a decent night's sleep for well over a month by then.
Eta: I'm not in your due date club! I just saw your post on new posts and felt like responding.
