Ugh--drop already!!!

This is my 5th baby, but my last 3 babies I carried VERY low so didn't have all the uncomfortbleness up top like I do with this one. I don't remember my first much, but I dropped several weeks before giving birth anyway, so again, didn't have this problem.

This little one just wants to stay high! I am not having the cervix pains and cramping like I always do the weeks leading up to my due date. I've had a few here and there, but nothing like what I always experience! I'm so tired of not being able to breathe, and the acid reflux hurts. I eat and feel like all my food is in my throat and that I could throw up any minute. I feel like this little guy is all in my chest! I have kicks in the oddest places. I've never experienced this before.

Pleeeeeease baby... drop!!! I can wait another couple weeks to go into labor as long as he would just drop and give me relief! UGH!

Rant over.

Same here.

Except my little guy will drop, then float back up, then drop, then float back up to my ribs. So, I'm just sore all over from this lo floating around.

Yes, he's done that too! I had one great week where I thought he had dropped for good. Nope!

Well, I think if they were truly engaged, they wouldn't. But just dropping lower into the pelvis, yeah, they can float back up. Of course I don't know for sure... that's just how I understand it to be. Someone can correct me if I'm mistaken.

I was in the hospital for 4 days at 33 weeks with a kidney problem and pre-term labor. The first day, the baby was head first, really low station (head right there, they said). The last day, the baby was transverse...So, they can definitely engage and disengage, although I don't know how common it is...
Baby is back head down, and now I am 38 weeks and no signs of labor yet!!

OB said yesterday that I'd dropped, which I'd figured I had a few days ago...but my reflux hasn't gone away

Mine has dropped quite a bit, even a few weeks ago, and it didn't help me breathe much better. Now I can barely walk to the bathroom. Feels like someone kicked me in the pelvis 30,000 times... well, she's headbutted me there anyway.
