Diaper Rash Creams and CD

I use Bumgenius 3.0, I love them. Here is my question: How do you handle diaper rashes? The diaper rash creams don't come out in a wash. If I had to use cream, I used Seventh Generation disposable diapers. But there has to be another solution to this. I tried Kushies flushable diaper liners, but I still found some residue on the diaper.I'm doubling up on Kushies for now. I also tried cutting unused receiving blankets in small strips as liners, that works but I don't have the time to sow the edges, after a couple washings the fabric comes apart. I like to keep my BG nice for number 2.
What is your solution to this?

I found that eventually the stains do come out of the BGs, after several washings. I didn't really worry about it because I figured hey, they are diapers.
As far as keeping the dipes for baby number two, good luck with that. I asked the company about it, and they said their diapers are designed to last one child through potty learning. We got ours when DS was 10 months old. He is almost 2 now, and the velcro is inrough shape. I can imagine them lasting for new baby, too. I am going to try to work on the velcro, though. Mt plans for new baby are prefolds and proraps. Cheap, simple, and effective.

When we need to put cream on, we use a fleece liner. You can buy them or just go buy some fleece at joann's and cut it up. it won't unravel!

There are some rash ointments ok to use with cd's. We use EarthMamaAngelBaby, but there are others, too.

Any of the thick ones, usually white, I would count as not diaper friendly. It's not just the risk of staining, but of whether it could make your cloth repell after a while because of the residue.

Fleece liners are great and there are many diaper creams that are safe for cloth diapers. We use two different diaper sticks-the Magic Stick and Bum Magic's Grab and Go stick. I've had good luck with both of these. Lots of people use Northern Essence and like it, though I've never gotten around to trying it.

I use Burts Bees diaper cream with all my dipes, including my BG, and you are right, the BG dipes are the only ones that it leaves a mark on. But, it doesn't seem to affect the absorbency and it's not very much, it doesn't bother me. As a PP said, it does seem to come off eventually with washes, and stripping does seem to help, too. I continue to use it, though, becasue I love the BB so much! HTH!

I use Califronia Baby and it's a nice light cream and wipes off very easily and it washes out easily.

I bought a bunch of cloth diaper wipes for this purpose and they work well. Just fold in half and lay them in the diaper like a liner and make sure it covers the area I'm putting the cream on. Then I just wash the wipes with the dipes. Effective system.
