Do you know what kind of fleece they are?

What are you using under them? Could it just be an aborbency or fit problem? If there gaps in the prefold and the soaker, for example, it might just be running out?

How do you wash your fleece covers? If you've used liquid detergents with the fleece it will make them less waterproof - using a powder laundry detergent (and usually half the amount) is best & should keep a good fleece cover from leaking the way you describe.

Are you using any kind of doubler & are the diapers tight (like the pp mentioned)?

anti-pill isn't the best for a diaper cover. Polar fleece or another sturdier fleece would be better.

That said, you could help out your fleece covers by washing them with clothes and fabric softener. Instead of throwing the covers into the diaper pail, throw them into the laundry pail.

There are fleeces that will perform better than anti-pill.
