Im thinking of finding an apron pattern and making me an apron. I haven't sewed anything since the baby came but I made some breast pads (didn't work too well) and some wipes (work awesome) before she came.

Lots of hemming for my husband! Just made my first scrub hat, also for my husband to wear to work. Also some pajama/lounge pants for my 5 y.o., and a fun sundress or two. I can see this being addicting... :

My list:

-skirts for me (I'm tall and I like 'em long) so far I've completed two. Now I need more material.
-a sewing supplies organizer. I have the pattern, I just need material.
-overalls for DS so that I can let out the straps when he grows. I'm also going to leave a big hem so I can let it down too. (he is growing so fast! 4mo old wearing 12mo clothes!)
-a friendship dahlia quilt. I have the material for the top. I am working on tracing the petals now. 50 down, 56 to go!
-a simple square block scrap quilt, made of old shirts and etc.
-loveys and "scrap-o-saurus" for baby shower gifts. I've made a few loveys, and am gathering materials for the dinosaur.

Hey! I have a buckwheat pillow for DH on my list, too!
Also, finish a mei tai and then make another (for gifts)
Sling
Pad for DD's egg chair from Ikea
Finish the curtains in spare bedroom
Oh, I should be sewing instead of typing!!!

I have to sew 12 tablecloth-type overlays for my friend's wedding. Very easy - just squares.

I have to make my maternity bridesmaid's dress for said wedding. :

Then I need to make roman shades for my bay windows and curtains for the baby's room.

I'm shocked to realise that I probably don't count as an absolute beginner any more! I feel like a beginner, but since getting my sewing machine I've made several pairs of bloomers, two dresses, a top, two other dresses, two bonnets and a capelet for DD. And a few other bits and pieces: a small quilt top, a bunch of cleaning cloths from old knickers (glam!), a curtain for DD's wardrobe, several basket liners, Christmas stockings and quite a few fabric gift bags. Stuff. I started a wraparound skirt for myself, but despite my mother claiming it was the easiest pattern I managed to bungle it completely and the result is tucked away in shame at the back of my fabric pile.

Anyway, my half-finished projects include:

that skirt, if I can ever bear to look it in the face again
the quilt top, which needs quiltifying
another quilt, which I started hand-piecing (gulp!) years ago
a huge piece of floaty gauzey stuff I cover wedding cakes with, which needs to be hemmed

I also want to make:

a corset for me
some long Anne of Green Gables-type skirts and petticoats, also for me
a medieval vesty thing for which I have the pattern, which laces up at the front for easy breastfeeding (well, easyish)... also for me
some shirts for DH if I ever get up the courage
some sturdy winter pinafores for DD, to be worn with long sleeved shirts and stockings
some leather turnshoes for DD, a la my clever friend who knows how
a ridiculously frilly, arty apron for me
cute winter hats for DD
some new cushion covers for the lounge, out of scraps of fabric from my wedding dress

I also have a bunch of dull forest green fabric and some home-dyed-looking brown fabric that I need to use up. Both cotton, I think. I got them ages ago for Mum to make me a medieval costume out of; but I'm not really into medieval stuff these days (aforementioned vesty thing notwithstanding) and I don't know what to use them for. The colours are a bit too dull for dressing the baby in. Any ideas?
