asks me when I'm due I think I'm going to go crazy rabid on them.

I know it's well meaning but seriously... like having to answer this 50 times a day is so freaking annoying. I just say not soon enough... and grit my teeth and it's amazing how many people are like.. no when's the date.

Like the date means anything.

I know. Its annoying me too. And then followed by, what are you having? I know its just what you say to someone who looks very pregnant without even a thought, but its getting to me too, even though I know it really shouldn't.

Totaly there on both accounts. And after you tell them the due date the proceed with "well your almost there" I just want to say "almost only counts in horse shoes and Handgrinades." I'm like If I were to deliver this baby befor midnight tonight that would not be soon enough. I'm grumpy, Moody, tiered, cant sleep but exhausted, can't bend over without contracting. Ok I feel better now!!!

I don't post much, but this one has been getting to me... Although now friends and family are starting to bother me with the "Where is he?" "Why isn't he here yet?" questions!!!! I literally have been getting a call or email every day about this! Im not even at my due date yet! geez!!!!!

It's the "what are you having" question that bugs me the most. Um, a baby? Since when did that become a normal question for a stranger to ask? Like asking the parents of twins whether they're "natural" or not. What the ...?

what is irritating me more than strangers asking me questions is my freakin' MOTHER calling me 5 times a day asking me how i'm doing. does she just think i'm going to rush off to the hospital and have a baby without telling her? she seems to forget that at the very least i'll be dropping my other kids off at her house first! i am about to go over to her house and fill her water bottles with valium so she'll calm down and relax.

when i had my twins i told her i was headed to the hospital because i "might" be in labor and that i'd call her when i got there and let her know if they admitted me. she showed up while i was in triage, getting ready to be sent home! it was a 40 minute drive for her to get there.

sorry, this turned into a rant about my mother! LOL

i've tried really hard to say due at the beginning of march (technically due march 1) to avoid all the questions/calls/inquiries, etc but somehow that's not working anymore! i'm frustrated myself by now and random people (and family) commenting is driving my batty.

I'm on my 5th so no one cares anymore!
Kidding--they DO care, but I rarely get the calls and definitely not the constant harassing! This is old hat to them and they figure I know what I'm doing so they leave me alone.

Strangers don't really even say much, oddly enough! I've had a few people say something, but since I rarely get it anymore I don't mind it. I DO find it funny when they try to give me advice and then when they ask if this is my first baby I just smile and say, "No, my 5th." They kind of shut up after that.

I knew it was annoying, but I didn't realize how much it was affecting me until I started my maternity leave. Everyone at work would ask/say stupid stuff like Haven't you had that baby yet? You look like you are going to pop! Are you sure it's just one baby? Look how much the baby has dropped! I work in an office with 100s of people- several dozen of them closely- so all day everyday people making comments- and it started early like 34 weeks. I didn't realize how anxious it was making me, until I took leave and was able to let all of that go.

Still I get strangers asking stuff all the time. I asked DH to get me a T-shirt for my birthday that said on the front-
The baby is due March 3
It is just one baby
I'm not going to pop
My other kids were born after their due date
We don't know the sex and didn't want to know


I have to say, though, my mom took me out for lunch yesterday and the waiter very politely asked- how pregnant are you? It was kind of funny to say- the baby is due on Tuesday.
