My suggestions, as a mom who is facing her seventh vbac, is to ask some questions of your midwife. First of all, how was the due date determined? Who is to say that baby will be ready at 41 weeks? Secondly, what medical model is she using to limit your pregnancy to 41 weeks, when studies show that size of baby does not affect the outcome of the vbac? Third, what is her plan if you don't spontaneously go into labor? Will she drop your care (illegal), refer you to an OB for induction (not typically safe in vbac) or will the OB send you automatically for csection?
As a patient you do have rights. You have the right to say you don't agree, or that you'd like another week. You have the right to enjoy the last weeks of your pregnancy, instead of counting down eleven days and praying like heck that your body goes into labor (unlikely with so much stress and expectation)
There are lots of natural induction methods, but none of them really work, unless your body is ready to go into labor. I'd suggest you visit the vbac board here at MDC, there are some really great, supportive mamas there!
