I am considering to rent a basement suite. The owner lives upstairs so he takes care of the yard. We are allowed to use the yard. As I can see, his lawn is immaculate. He probably uses pesticide and herbicide. What kind of right do I have as a renter to ask him not to use any pesticide or herbicide? Probably none. I have a little kid so it is a concern. Is it hard to care the lawn without pesticide or herbicide? If I can offer an alternative like weeding by hand myself, he might listen.
Any idea please? Am I over reacting? Probably a good amount of rain will get rid of pesticide residue but I'm more worried about the times he is spraying and right after spraying before raini.
