What do you put in your kid's lunchbox?

I'm fairly new to TF and I'm trying to figure out what to put in my DS's lunchboxes. I've been packing a sandwich on sprouted grain bread, fruit, yogurt and/or cheese but after those things I don't know what else to pack that is TF friendly. DS #2 is 7 and honestly doesn't eat much more than what I listed above however, DS #1 is 9 and going through a MAJOR growth spurt right now (probably the biggest he's ever had) and he eats A LOT right now!

So, what do you pack your TF kiddos for lunch?

When they were in school, and when we pack lunches for ourselves this is some of the stuff we bring. (We are gluten free as well)

hard boiled eggs/deviled eggs
cheese
apple slices
pickles
dried fruit
lunchmeat or leftover meat
quesadillas, or sliced meat rolled up with cream cheese
occasionally I would throw in some tortilla chips as a treat
leftovers, if it something the kids would actually eat on their own, bean soup and cornbread was a hit.
peanut butter packs
dates stuffed with nut butter
carrots and hummus, sometimes crackers (love Mary's gone Crackers, but just realized there is soy in it. :-(

um..... occasional tidbit of something sweet like a square of dark chocolate or a gf homemade baked good.

and almost always a kleen kanteen full (the smallest size fits in the lunch box easily) of raw milk.

I'm bumping this in the hopes of hearing more ideas! I only have to pack a snack for both kids, but my snack tends to look more like a meal. The kids eat snack around 10, so they're hungry! Also, my dd gets school lunch-she likes the IDEA of the lunch more than the lunch itself, so the snack really has to be a good nourishing meal for her. Fine by me-I hate school lunches-it's a huge compromise for us to allow it at all.

Anyway...any more ideas? DS is in a nut-free room, but dd doesn't have any restrictions.

Well, I can tell you what I put in my big kid's lunchbox (DH). I try to make a couple meals a week that will give me plenty of leftovers for this purpose.

So today was meatloaf, roast potatoes and grilled broccoli, carrots, apple, orange, and (homemade) peanut butter on sourdough. I'm not allowed to put eggs, cheese, alliums, or anything fermented in his lunch, so I do my best to stick to basic whole foods.
