I think I'll join in
I will be working on our master bedroom/closet. It needs the most work, since it seems to be a catch-all for clutter and I also use a corner of my room for my study area. I can't wait to get it back in shape and looking great!

My computer desk/office area is fine, but I do want to join in and tackle my walk-in closet. It's not really terrible, but it's definitely the messiest spot in our house at the moment. I'm going to enlist DH's help seeing as how 90% of the junk is his.

I'm in. Our 'office' (different from the 'library') is also our entertainment room, storage, and has some of my crafts. Currently we have three pieces of furniture in there: a futon: an entertainment center haphazardly piled with boxes, electronics, and office supplies: and a computer desk overburdened with a desktop computer which hasn't been hooked up.

Boxes and bags are piled against the walls, the futon has food on it, and there's everything from silverware to CD's on the floor. :

And DH wonders why none of his CD's/DVDs/Games plays right.

I found the perfect stamp storage yesterday! They are "project cases" meant for 11x14 paper (?) and it took 9 of them to contain most of my rubber and foam stamps. They are awesome and were what I consider very reasonably priced ($3.99 each) considering what they do and how they fill my needs perfectly! I'll share pictures later.

I am getting somewhere on this massive project finally!!!

How are you doing on your "office" (or "room") thus far? You can do it! Set a timer for 5 minutes and go sit in that room. Visualize it the way you would to see it. Do one thing before leaving the room. Try it a few times a day and see what can happen... Just an idea...... There are plenty of ways to get this project accomplished!

I wasn't going to join because we don't have an office.But really it was just an excuse not to tackle the mess I know I need to.We have a big dresser in the dining room that holds what would be in an office.I started going through it but never finished.So here I go!I will finish!

I started with the over flow.Really the dresser is big enough.We don't need extra art supplies outside of the dresser.

So,I got rid of some of the stuff and moved the rest of it.Now it's a clear space!

I've started going through the drawers.Got rid of a huge pile of unused electronics.Old mouse,cords,etc.

WOO HOO!

We have that same wood rack from Ikea! Ours is in our "coat closet" under the jackets. It holds shoes, bike helmets, and "water" toys (beach & pool in separate bags). Where did yours go after you emptied it?

I've started to look for computer armoires. Right now we have a borrowed computer desk, but there are no drawers on it at all so things pile up on the desk. I need some storage and would love to have doors to shut when we are not on the computer. The desk is in our upstairs hallways so I want it to look like a nice piece of furniture.

Actually I just put it up in the attic.They're pretty handy shelves and I move stuff around so much that I'll hold onto it because it will most likely get used.

okay, so i know it's only march 3rd, but i'm already off on the wrong foot with this challenge.

i have a huge wholesale order i've been working on for my business (i have an etsy shop as well) that has been taking up an incredible amount of my time. so when i'm not working on it the last thing i want to do is re-organize.....so i've been spending my time shopping for kitchen stuff. :

ugh. i suck. i'm such a slacker. :

DH plans to put the wires BEHIND the entertainment center tomorrow.

I didn't have to hint or anything! The baby did keep unplugging the internet router, however, and I think that inconvenience may have prompted this madness. Also, since we'll have to pull everything off of the enter. center to do the wiring, we'll have to go through all the random junk that's piled up!!! :


Now we just need a bookshelf to store DH's film/college books, our DVD's(already pared down, but he's a film geek ), the xbox/xbox 360 games, and the office supplies. And we need to seriously rethink the desktop.

I did also come up with the fabric and plan for window coverings in that room, it gets direct sun most of the day and heats up pretty fast, as well as the glare being obnoxious for TV time. I have the fabric, I just need the curtain rods.

aww thanks.

wholesale orders, while i love them, always stress me out because of the sheer volume. and because of that, my house always has to take a backseat for the week or so that it takes to get them finished and shipped out. it just drives the "neat freak domestic goddess" in me a little batty! lol!

: ... you know those little turnstyles thst some of the trains have so that you can spin and get the train going in a different direction... I need one of those in the middle of the office since it's the hub for all the doors.!!

It's actually kinda neat having all the doors, our old house had 1 door- ONE- it led outside... this new house... I should go count them... 14 upstairs, 8 down plus some areas that are just open doorways without doors.

Well, I spent yesterday doing paperwork ALL DAY LONG! Tuesday IS my usual day for finances and paperwork, but GEEZ! It is usually a 15 minutes to one hour tops job. Yesterday, however, I had so many phone calls to make and was hold for-ever with most of them. The good news is I was able to recycle a lot of paper in the office. The entire trash can is full for recycling. Plus there is a stack on top of the shredder for DD today, which will be two more cans of recycled paper.

Oh, and then I created a flyer for the school regarding our school worm bin (vermicomposting program is starting in full force soon). That was at least fun!

Since I did all this work IN our office, does that count as "working on the office"??? Aside from the "in" tray being less full and two files in the cabinet becoming nearly empty, the room doesn't look much different...

The plan is for today to be far more visually productive. Wish me luck!
